
Yes! You Can Sing Sessions
After the success of Music Kin’s ‘Yes! You Can Sing' Festival in March, they return to Echo Echo Studios with another immersive day filled with Joyous Singing for the Head, Heart and Soul. The ‘Yes! You Can Sing Sessions’ offer three singing workshops that are accessible to everyone - with all songs taught by ear by some of the North West’s most experienced facilitators. You are invited to join us to sing together for joy, hope, friendship and connection.
No experience needed - just a desire to sing because you can and because it makes you feel good!
All workshops are £7 or if you buy a day pass for all 3 events you get the 3rd event for just £2 that is just £16 for all 3 events!!

Saturday 18th May
10.30am - 12noon | Songs for Wellbeing from around the world with Anna Nolan & Maeve Leahy
Join Anna Nolan and Maeve Leahy for an intergenerational singing session for the whole family. Everybody who wants to sing is welcome!
Anna and Maeve will share with you joyful songs and mantras from around the world to lift your spirits and your heart. This is an intergenerational session - although the singing is primarily focused on the adults, children and babies are welcome and we will provide toys for their entertainment. There will also be songs that are enjoyable for children and which they may want to join in with. This will be a non-judgemental, space for you to sing, relax, connect and just enjoy your voice and the voices of others as we teach you soothing and uplifting songs from all around the world.
If you are a beginner, a shower or a car singer or even a "I can't singer", come along and experience the joy of group singing with us!
Anna Nolan & Maeve Leahy run regular Singing Mamas Sessions at Echo Echo Studios focussed on maternal wellbeing and are great advocates of the powerful impact of singing on positive mental and physical health.
1.30pm - 3pm | Sing, Sing, Sing with Candy Verney
Candy is a choir director and trainer, who for the last 30 years has been building communities through song, facilitating thousands to find their voice. She has written 5 song books, for children and adults. In 2014 Candy opened the Donegal Song House after fulfilling her dream of a lifetime which was to renovate and develop an inspirational retreat centre in the wilds of Co Donegal, Ireland.
The Song House, overlooking Muckish mountain, is now a centre for her work as well as other life enhancing cultural events.
Sing, Sing, Sing! - Join Candy to sing some uplifting songs in harmony. No experience needed all are welcome
3.30pm - 5pm | Sing with the Inishowen Gospel Choir
The Inishowen Gospel Choir has grown to be one of the best known community choirs in the North West. It has performed at hundreds events from local concerts, to world-renowned music festivals such as Glastonbury and Electric Picnic.
The choir has retained its community-based character and energy, which combined with musical excellence, has seen it perform with some of the best-known names in the Irish music scene, including The Henry Girls, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Duke Special, Declan O’Rourke, Bronagh Gallagher, Foy Vance, Cara Dillon and Moya Brennan.
Members of the Inishowen Gospel Choir are delighted to have the opportunity to share with you some of their favourite repertoire. Neil Burns their talented co-director will teach by ear an uplifting and soulful variety of accessible songs. The session will be supported by some of the current members of the Gospel Choir. No experience needed. All welcome.
